Job summary

Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Illinois is seeking a CT Technologist to produce diagnostic CT images with proper technique and patient positioning. The role requires ARRT CT, ARRT Radiography, and IEMA certification, with BLS/CPR within 90 days of hire.

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Compensation starts around the posted pay rate with a $10,000 sign-on bonus based on experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• ARRT CT certification required; CT within 1 year of hire.
• ARRT Radiography (R) within 1 year of hire.
• IEMA - Illinois Emergency Management Agency.
• BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Accurate image identification.
• Assures accuracy and high quality images.
• Completes continuing education on CT specific safety annually.
• Obtains proper consent for procedures.
• Performs CT exams by setting, adjusting, manipulating, and controlling a variety of complex electronic equipment.
• Performs intravenous injection of contrast media products under the guidance of the Radiologist.
• Provides proper documentation in patient chart of radiation dose and contrast use.
• Remains current regarding knowledge of Creatinine & GFR levels to aid in determining the use of contrast.
• Understands criteria, normal vs. elevated levels, protocols to follow for abnormal levels, and consults w/ physician or nurse as appropriate.
• Utilizes PACS and HIS system to archive and record patient data.
• Utilizes proper radiation safety techniques to scan patients and provide excellent quality at minimal dose.
