Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC seeks a CT Technologist to perform a variety of CT scans with independence. You will handle imaging data, assist physicians, and ensure sterility and patient safety while maintaining high standards in radiology.

Requirements include ARRT-CT registration, an accredited radiography education, BLS, and two years in a multi-disciplinary radiology department. Prior CT experience is preferred; benefits are described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited School of Radiography.
• ARRT registered in Computed Tomography; CEU requirements for re-certification.
• Two years of experience in a multi-disciplined Radiology Department.
• Two years CT experience preferred; OSHA exposure awareness.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• Associate Degree; CT certification (ARRT-CT) or NMTCB (CT).

Job Summary and Qualifications:

Performs a variety of CT scan procedures, invasive and non-invasive on a variety of patients. In doing so, the technologist is required to utilize sterile technique if necessary, operate complex radiographic equipment and assist physicians as needed. The technologist is responsible for the manipulation of computer data and images for interpretation, and reproducing them on film for permanent storage, and /or utilization of a networking system. This position will function without constant supervision. Independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative are essential. Responsibility for designated areas and procedures is assumed.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

• Required Education: Graduate of JRCERT accredited School of Radiography.
• Required License: Must be ARRT registered in Computed Tomography. Completes requirements for CEU for re-certification. BLS certified.
• Required Experience: Two years previous experience in a multi-disciplined Radiology Department.
• Preferred Experience: Two years previous computed tomography experience. Working Conditions: Attached OSHA Category: Potential for exposure to blood or body fluids. Patient Care Group: Patients of all ages including the neonate, child, adolescent, geriatric, and the dying patient. Orientation, continuing education, knowledge and skills are developed as appropriate for these categories.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
