Job summary

Swedish Health Services is seeking a CT Technologist to operate a multi‑slice CT scanner, deliver high‑quality diagnostic imaging, and provide compassionate patient care in a hospital setting. The role requires formal radiologic technology training and licensure with ARRT and state BLS at hire.

Ideal candidates will have strong patient interaction skills, the ability to work in a team, and willingness to perform additional X‑ray and fluoroscopy procedures as needed.

Qualifications

  • Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology program.
  • Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist license.
  • Upon hire: American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Upon hire: ARRT Radiography certification.
  • Within 1 year: CT certification by NRCT or NMTCB.

Responsibilities

  • Independently performs CT procedures using a multi‑slice CT scanner with sound clinical judgment for image quality and patient safety.
  • Operates power injectors and patient monitoring equipment per protocol.
  • Starts IVs and administers contrast as directed by the onsite physician.
  • Delivers exemplary customer service with clear communication and professionalism.
  • Participates in a collaborative team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Performs additional radiologic and fluoroscopy procedures as needed.

The CT Technologist performs a broad range of advanced technical and patient care procedures requiring independent judgment while operating a multi‑slice CT scanner. This role combines technical expertise with exceptional patient interaction to deliver high‑quality diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently performs CT procedures using a multi‑slice CT scanner, applying sound clinical judgment to ensure optimal imaging quality and patient safety
  • Operates power injectors and patient monitoring equipment in accordance with established protocols
  • Starts IVs and administers IV, oral, or rectal contrast as directed by the onsite physician
  • Delivers exemplary customer service by providing clear communication, compassion, and professionalism throughout the patient experience
  • Actively participates in a team‑based environment, maintaining a positive, collaborative attitude
  • Continues to utilize radiologic technology expertise by performing diagnostic X‑ray and fluoroscopy procedures as needed

Required Qualifications:
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology program
  • Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Within 1 year of hire:
  • National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography --or--
  • National Computed Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with one-year in a CT Scan department preferred

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
