Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in South Jersey is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to perform CAT scan procedures under radiologist protocols and operate the CT scanner during IR cases. The role supports infection control and maintains equipment readiness in the CT department.

Responsibilities include adhering to PPE guidelines, monitoring supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and contributing to clinical activities as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• This job requires completion of an AMA approved radiologic technologist program.
• Enrollment in or graduation from a qualified Computed Tomography program preferred.
• Current BLS, ARRT, and NJ-RADTECH licenses; CT board certification preferred.

• Perform CAT scan procedures following radiologist protocols and operate the CT scanner during IR procedures.
• Maintain the CT work area, monitor equipment and supplies, and report maintenance issues.

Short Description

This job requires the candidate to perform CAT scan procedures following protocols established by the radiologist and operate the CT scanner during IR procedures in the CT department. Maintains the work area by reporting Maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies, and deficient. Participates in Clinical activities and adheres to all infection prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed.

Experience Required

• General, Trauma and ED;

Education Requirements

• Experience with Pediatrics and Cardiac preferred but not necessary
• Graduate of AMA Approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
• Enrollment in or graduation from a qualified Computed Tomography program preferred

License/Certification Requirements

• Current BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
• Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
• Current NJ-RADTECH License (Radiologic Technologist).
• ARRT Board Certified in Computed Tomography preferred. If not at the time of hire, within 12 months of employment.
