Job Description

Performs CT procedures and assists radiologists at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical skill. Responsible for CT scanning procedures and related quality control monitoring as assigned. Performs CT scans of various anatomy of the body to produce clinically diagnostic images to assist the physician in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. Ensures patient comfort and safety during procedures. Responsible for CT scans of newborn, infant, pediatric, adolescence, adult, and geriatric patients. Responsible for the availability and sterility of supplies used for the assigned area. Operates CT equipment, develops films, and prepares the CT room for procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. CT Registry preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test, including bending, stooping, standing, and sitting for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work is fast-paced. Visual acuity, hearing, stooping, reaching, and kneeling are required.
• Average physical demands involve moving/transporting patients, lifting accessory equipment, and pushing wheelchairs or stretchers.
