Job summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center in Rutland, VT, seeks a CT Technologist to perform imaging on a multi-detector CT scanner under radiologist supervision. You will follow scanning protocols, recognize anatomy, and perform CTA studies with contrast as needed. Use RIS/PACS and HIS for recording exams and disseminating results.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Recent hospital-related experience (within 1 year).
• Digital Imaging and post processing PACS experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging on a multi-detector CT scanner according to protocols.
• Recognize cross-sectional anatomy; perform CTA studies as needed.
• Inject contrast media when applicable.
• Record and disseminate patient results using RIS/PACS and HIS.

• Schedule - Shift - Hours Full-time w/rotating wknds & holidays - 12 hour night shift - 7pm-7am, every weekend, sat, sun, mon

Under the supervision of a radiologist, and direction of the Lead CT Tech, this position competently performs imaging on a multi-detector CT scanner. Responsible for scanning and imaging protocols. Must have the ability to recognize cross-sectional anatomy, performs CTA's and inject contrast media where applicable. Responsible for providing service excellence and complying with hospital policies and procedures. Uses the RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results.

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Recent, up to one year, hospital related experience
• Digital Imaging and post processing PACS experience

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Must possess current Vt. state RT license
• BLS Certification through American Heart Association
• Must obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two year period, for re-certification and licensure
• CT certified by ARRT or obtaining (must obtain within one year of employment)

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Knowledge and ability to provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
• Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.*
