Job summary

Synectics Inc. in Rutherfordton, NC is seeking a Cat Scan Technician (CT) to support quality imaging and patient care across shifts. You will operate CT equipment, ensure safety standards, and coordinate with the care team to deliver accurate results.

The role requires ARRT with CT certification, an Associate's Degree, and BLS. You will prepare contrast media, educate patients, monitor conditions, and participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance imaging quality and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree required.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Licenses: ARRT with additional certification in CT.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered.
• Monitors patient condition and responds to changes appropriately.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; implements safety standards and performs quality control checks.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions.
• Positions patients and performs imaging procedures.
• Analyzes imaging results, identifies quality issues, and takes corrective action, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures if needed.
• Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
