Job summary

Portsmouth Regional Hospital, part of the HCA Healthcare family, is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT equipment and produce diagnostic cross-sectional images. You will prepare patients, position them, and follow physician instructions to obtain high-quality images.

The role requires AMA-approved Radiologic Technology education, BLS within 30 days, and CT experience; ARRT-CT certification is preferred. Join a mission-driven team serving the Seacoast region.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-CT certification preferred.
• CT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images.
• Explain the process and position patients to capture optimal images.
• Assist radiologist with medication and contrast administration, biopsies.
• Prepare examination rooms and monitor inventory during room rotation.

Job Summary

As a CT Technologist you would operate CT equipment, to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue used to diagnose medical conditions. You will prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning the patient to capture optimal images requested by the physician.

• You will accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment.
• Assist the radiologist in administering medication and contrast agents, performing biopsies and all types of care to patients.
• Prepare examination rooms for CT scan and/or invasive procedures.
• Monitor inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT-CT certification preferred.
• CT experience preferred.
