Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures based on physician's prescriptions.
• Assist Radiologists with procedures and operate CT equipment.
• Administer IV contrast media and monitor patient reactions.

CT Technologist

Full-time 40 hours

Midnight Shift

10 and 12 hour shifts available

Performs computerized tomography procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician. Assumes responsibility and maintains the care and safety of patients during diagnostic procedures.

Requirements for a CT Technologist:

• Graduate of a formal Radiology Technology program in an JRCERT-approved school.
• Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current Advanced certification in Computed Tomography or must complete advanced registry within one year of hire.
• ARRT and CT certification.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• At least two years of experience as a registered technologist, with preferred 1-year experience in CT.

Responsibilities of a CT Technologist:

• Complete all necessary documentation, process scans, and manage related functions.
• Assist Radiologists with complex sterile procedures such as biopsies.
• Administer intravenous contrast media, monitor patients for reactions, and provide immediate care if needed.
• Operate CT equipment, power injectors, PACS, RIS system, and process images.
• Assist physicians during procedures in the procedure room.
• Maintain professional relationships to ensure quality care.
• Provide on-call coverage as needed.
• Perform general nursing duties if necessary.
• Handle clerical duties related to patient documentation, billing, and image processing.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
