Job summary

North Adams Regional Hospital Radiology Department is seeking a part-time radiology technologist. Position involves weekend shifts (Sat/Sun, 7:00am–11:00pm) with 16 hours per weekend, and requires proficiency in X-ray and CT imaging as well as IV insertion when necessary.

Minimum 1 year X-ray experience preferred. Must hold MALIC Massachusetts Radiology License, ARRT(RTR) registration, CPR certification, and complete PACS/HIS/RIS systems competencies.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a formal JRCERT approved Radiologic Technology Program.
• MALIC – Massachusetts Radiology License; ARRT(RTR) registration; CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks including IV insertion when required.
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT and PACS applications.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to infection control policies.
• Take on supervision or instruction duties as assigned by management.

North Adams Regional Hospital NAR Radiology NC

Hourly Pay Range: 41.8100 through 59.7100

Part time 1 (30-35.9) , Shift 2 , 32 , Sat/Sun 7:00am to 11:00pm

Every Weekend Sat/Sun 16 hours 7:00am to 11:00pm.

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION

Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and critical thinking. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or NARH Facility Director. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel or as determined by Manager or Director. Excellent communication skills in written, verbal and Tiger Text format required. Practices infection control in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR, CT, and PACs applications. Completes annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required. Technologist will be required to perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks including IV insertion and injections. such as transportation of patients when needed.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

Minimum of 1 year X-Ray tech experience preferred.

Education and Training

Must have completed formal JRCERT approved Radiologic Technology Program.

License, Certification & Registration

MALIC – Massachusetts Radiology License

ARRT(RTR) - Registered Technologist Radiography.

CT Technologist Certification preferred, but training is available.

CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) is required.

The minimum and maximum of the hourly pay range for this position is shown above. Actual rates of pay may vary based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience and qualifications.
