Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a CT Technologist in Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves independently performing CT procedures with contrast, using advanced imaging equipment, and documenting image data securely.

You will ensure patient safety, verify accurate coding and billing, and communicate clearly with patients to ease anxiety and foster cooperation. The schedule includes day/evening 12-hour shifts with weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired.
• ARRT Certificate, Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC), Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Independently performs computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration.
• Operates complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data.
• Demonstrates proper venipuncture technique and uses power injector per protocols.
• Ensures all exams are properly coded and charges entered.
• Communicates instructions to patients clearly to help allay fears and solicit cooperation.

Job Description

Independently performs computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration. Utilizes complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data. Demonstrates proper technique in venipuncture and use of power injector according to set protocols. Administers PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders/department policy and assesses patients for potential risk factors. Ensures all exams are properly coded and tracked, and all charges are adequately entered. Communicates instructions to patients clearly to help allay fears and solicit cooperation.

Critical Information Schedule

Schedule includes mixed daylight and evening shifts: 3 (12-hour) shifts per week, 7a-7p or 11a-11p. Every other weekend or every third weekend coverage based upon needs.

Education / Licenses Needed

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.
