Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a CT Technologist to join our team in Oregon. You will operate assigned CT scanners to produce diagnostic images, while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

This full-time role runs Tuesday through Friday, with 4–10 hour shifts and no weekend rotation at this time. Required qualifications include ARRT registration, state radiologic licensure if applicable, CPR certification, and AMA-approved radiography education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT registered technologist in good standing.
• Licensed radiological technologist in the applicable state.
• Current CPR certification and ability to perform CT procedures independently.
• Imaging specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners to produce diagnostic images per physician orders.
• Explain procedures and position patients for optimal imaging.
• Maintain safety, document patient records in RIS, and follow protocols.
• Assist with imaging protocol updates and supply inventory as needed.
• Support training of new team members when required.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $53.00 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a CT Technologistto join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide CT services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This position is full-time, working Tuesday-Friday, 4-10 hour Shifts. No weekend rotation at this time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(90%) Patient CT Imaging

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure


2. Explains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately


3. Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure


4. Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate


5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)


6. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements


7. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

(5%) CT/Imaging Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades


2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary


3. Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent


2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography


3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing


4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable


5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification


6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently


7. Certification in imaging specialty
