Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a CT Technologist to join our team in Florida on a part-time Sunday shift (8:00am–8:00pm) with weekend differential. You will operate CT scanners to produce diagnostic images, explain procedures to patients, position them correctly, and maintain safety and documentation in the RIS system.

The ideal candidate is ARRT-CT certified, licensed where applicable, CPR certified, and capable of independently performing CT examinations while delivering excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanner(s) to produce diagnostic images.
• Explain procedures and position patients for optimal imaging.
• Maintain patient comfort and communicate throughout the exam.
• Follow orders, safety rules, and document in RIS.
• Assist with image protocol updates and supply management.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a CT Technologistto join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will beresponsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide CT services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

This is a part-time position working Sundays from 8:00am - 8:00pm. Additional weekend differential is offered for this shift!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(90%) Patient CT Imaging

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
3. Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
6. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
7. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

(5%) CT/Imaging Department Support

1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
3. Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently
7. Certification in imaging specialty
