Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a CT technologist to perform computed tomography procedures in a full-time night shift, with weekend rotation, at our Novi campus. The role involves preparing and positioning patients, administering contrast media as appropriate, and maintaining strict radiation safety standards.

Required credentials include BLS and CT-related certification; multiple pathways exist (NMTCB, ARRT CT, CNMT).

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted).
• CT Registry or ARRT CT specialty preferred; CNMT/CNMT(CT) options acceptable with CNMT.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience, or an associated/technical degree, or 4 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform computerized tomographic procedures per radiologists' protocols.
• Position patients and select parameters to optimize imaging quality.
• Administer and monitor contrast media and medications within scope of practice and regulations.
• Observe patients during procedures and report abnormalities; adjust protocols as needed.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Description

Up to $7,500 Sign-on Bonus

Full Time benefit eligible

Shift: FT 40 hours per week, midnights 10:30pm-7am with weekend rotation

Performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.

• Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIRED:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  - Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.
  - Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  - Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted. Education: - High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• Require experience for this shift in CT.
• Prefer candidate to hold CT registry
• Need to be able to do 3 D imaging on an independent workstation
