Job description

We Are Hiring

• Department: Computerized Tomography
• Schedule: Full Time, 36 hours weekly, Evening and Night shift
• Hospital: Ascension Via Christi
• Location: Manhattan, KS

What You Will Do

Perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.

• Prepare and position patients, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medication within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations.
• Observe patients during procedures and report abnormal activity.
• Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as needed.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, from AHA or ARC.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credential from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts within 3 months (90 days) of hire or transfer.
• One or more of the following within 3 months (90 days):
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credential from NMTCB with CT specialty, or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist with CT specialization, in addition to CNMT certification.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography from ARRT.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography from ARRT.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of relevant experience.

Additional Preferences

• XR and CT certification with 2 years of experience preferred.
