Job summary

A medical imaging center in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to operate CT scanning equipment and capture diagnostic images of patients. Responsibilities include positioning patients correctly, performing equipment warm-ups, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout the scanning process. Candidates must have a valid BLS certification, Wisconsin license, and ARRT certification, with GE CT scanner experience preferred. This position involves full-time commitment, with a work week mainly on Sundays through Thursdays.

Job description

• Per Week: 40 Hours BLS, WI license, ARRT; Shift details: 2300-0700 Sunday - Thursday; Call: None; Weekends: negotiable as needed; Holidays: rotation with regular staff; GE CT scanner experience; may need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
• Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients internal organs and tissues.
• Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
• Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
• Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
• Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions.
• Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
• Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
• Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.
