Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency in Wisconsin is seeking a qualified CT Technician for a 10-week contract. The role involves capturing diagnostic images, positioning patients, and interpreting medical instructions. Experience with Toshiba and Siemens CT scanners, as well as familiarity with EPIC systems, is essential. The technician will also perform regular equipment maintenance and assist patients throughout the scanning process. This position is full-time with a rotation schedule.

Qualifications

• Certification in ARRT required.
• Experience with computerized tomography equipment.
• Ability to interpret doctors' written scanning instructions.

Responsibilities

• Capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.

Job description

• Per Week: 40 Hours
• 10 week contract - ARRT (R); Call: 1 in 4 rotation for Friday 2300-Sat 0700: Weekends: None; Holidays: as needed but usually 1:4 rotation; Experience in Toshiba and Siemens CT scanners, EPIC; may need to float to Mercy and/or Calumet if needed.
  
• Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients internal organs and tissues.
• Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
• Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
• Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
• Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions.
• Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
• Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
• Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required
