Job summary

CHI St. Vincent seeks a CT Technologist to capture diagnostic images for Radiologists, supporting accurate diagnoses. You will create cross-section images of the skeleton, tissues, and organs and work closely with patients to enhance their experience.

The role requires JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology training, ARRT registration or eligibility, BLS CPR within 30 days, and ARRT radiography within 12 months. Candidates should be prepared to support a high-quality imaging workflow.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a program of Radiologic Technology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Registry eligible or Registered Radiographic Technologist in Radiography or ARRT certification.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) within 30 days of hire.
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as CT, MRI, interventional radiology, mammography, sonography, ultrasound and PET.
  • Ensure thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning per imaging order.
  • Apply sterile techniques and safety practices for patients, teammates, and self.
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to avoid failures.

Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Tech at CHI St. Vincent, you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and\/or rule out different conditions.

Every day you’ll create cross-section images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.

  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as computed axial tomography, magnetic resonance, interventional radiology, mammography, sonography, ultrasound, and\/or nuclear medicine and PET
  • Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the imaging order
  • Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of a program of Radiologic Technology accredited by the Joint ReviewCommittee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or
  • Graduate of a military program accredited by JRCERT and
  • Registry eligible or Registered Radiographic Technologist certified in Radiography and
  • Medical Radiographer: AR, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days and
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, within 12 - months and
Preferred
  • Positron Emission Tomogrography, upon hire

Pay Range

$28.67 - $42.64 /hour
