Job summary

CHI St. Vincent in Arkansas is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment and create scans per physicians' directions. You will screen patients, explain procedures, inspect and troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

Training junior MRI technologists is also part of the role. Success requires solid knowledge of anatomy and MRI safety procedures. Highly capable technologists are analytical and able to explain complex information clearly to patients

Qualifications

• To be successful, applicants should have knowledge of anatomy and MRI safety procedures.
• Excellent analytical ability and the capacity to explain complex information clearly.
• Experience with patient screening and contrast administration is preferred.

As our MRI Technologist at CHI St. Vincent, you’ll be responsible for operating MRI equipment and creating scans as per the physicians' directions, screening patients and explaining procedures to them, and inspecting and troubleshooting equipment. You should be able to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and also train junior MRI technologists.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our MRI Technologist at CHI St. Vincent, you’ll be responsible for operating MRI equipment and creating scans as per the physicians' directions, screening patients and explaining procedures to them, and inspecting and troubleshooting equipment. You should be able to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and also train junior MRI technologists.

To be successful as an MRI technologist, you should have sound knowledge of human anatomy and MRI safety procedures. Outstanding MRI technologists will be highly analytical and able to explain complex information clearly.

• Analyzing patient histories and completing screenings for pacemakers and injuries where metal objects were involved.


• Preparing and administering contrast dyes.


• Addressing patients’ concerns and ensuring that they are comfortable and calm during scans.


• Performing regular inspections of the MRI equipment and machines, and scheduling maintenance and repairs as needed.


• Positioning the patients and completing MRI scans according to the physicians' specifications.

• Other Registry eligible or Registered Radiographic Technologist certified by theAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). and One (1) year experience as a Radiologic Technologist., upon hire and
