Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Lexington, KY seeks a CT Technologist to acquire precise CT images and support Radiologists in accurate diagnoses. You will create cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and organs while delivering compassionate patient care and a reassuring experience.

The role requires knowledge of imaging workflow, patient positioning, and strict adherence to safety and quality protocols, with ongoing professional development and collaboration with the Radiology team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, on hire.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) within 12 months.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic CT imaging and ensure high-quality patient care.
• Position patients correctly and follow imaging protocols as directed by Radiologists.
• Adhere to patient safety goals and comply with department standards.
• Report compliance matters and participate in quality assurance programs.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain technical competency.
• Support a positive, comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.

Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
• Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist’s expectations and protocols.
• Displays knowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety goals.
• Supports and reports any identified compliance matters.
• Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction.
• Maintains professional development and education for technical competency.
