Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a CT Technologist to perform high-quality computed tomography procedures in the Radiology Department.

You will position patients, set technical parameters, and administer contrast with strict adherence to radiologist protocols. You will monitor patients during scans, report any abnormal activity, and follow radiation safety standards while pursuing ongoing protocol improvements.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed in Florida prior to hire.
• NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT) certification required in addition to CNMT.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT procedures following radiologist protocols.
• Position patients and select parameters for diagnostic accuracy.
• Safely administer contrast media and meds within scope.
• Monitor patients during procedures and report abnormalities.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and suggest improvements.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

One or more of the following required:

• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
