Ardent Health Services seeks a day shift, full-time CT Technologist in Harker Heights, TX to perform CT imaging with focus on image quality and patient comfort. The role supports Seton Medical Center Harker Heights in a busy imaging department.

You will operate CT scanners, maintain equipment quality, and work with PACS/HIS while upholding ALARA safety and radiation safety standards. A MRT license and ARRT CT certification are required.

Formación

• Requires ARRT CT certification and MRT licensure.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
• Experience with CT procedures and patient care preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Explain CT procedure to patient and family clearly.
• Perform CT procedures with correct imaging parameters and quality.
• Transport patients as needed and ensure safe completion of imaging.
• Maintain clean, organized CT rooms and report equipment issues.
• Follow ALARA radiation safety principles and document results.
• Enter patient data in PACS/HIS and help ensure compliance with regulations.

Get to Know Your Team:

• Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services, and more.

Responsibilities

• Explain CT procedure to the patient and/or family member in a thorough and professional manner.
• Perform CT procedures ascertaining appropriate imaging parameters (MAS, KVP, positioning, etc.) are utilized, providing physician with a quality diagnostic procedure.
• Ascertain the delivery of patient care is provided in a personalized, professional and quality manner.
• Provide minimal nursing care to patient, ascertaining the patient is comfortable in the department. Seek additional nursing or physician assistance when necessary.
• Transport patients to and from Imaging Services ascertaining that the patient is relocated without injury or incident.
• Perform quality control on equipment and notify management immediately of any potential malfunction or hazard of equipment.
• Maintain CT procedure rooms and work area in a clean and organized manner.
• Maintain effective communication with medical staff, administrative staff, nursing staff and other team members.
• Adhere to appropriate radiation safety, practicing the concept of As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA).
• Enter and retrieve patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) in a proficient manner.
• Ascertain that Joint Commission, local, state and federal accrediting and licensing bodies’ requirements are met.
• Prepare and maintain department paperwork, verifying accuracy of information.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of required education to obtain registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Licensed by the Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Previous employment as a CT Technologist.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for Computerized Tomography (CT).
