Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification in Computed Tomography.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during procedures.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation in RIS/PACS.

We are proud to have become a shining example of what's possible when the brightest professionals dedicate themselves to making a difference in the healthcare industry, and in people's lives.## ****Pay***** We offer competitive hourly pay with shift differential incentives.## ****Schedule & Incentives***** Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8p-630a* This role is eligible for a **$20,000** ****sig**n‐on bonus*** Benefits program that includes PTO, mental health support, wellness rooms, concierge services and more* Access to **Wellstar’s CareerCare program** for fully funded education and guided career progression## ****Job Summary***** The **CT Technologist** applies their expertise to deliver safe, high‐quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at **Columbia County Medical Center Hospital*** Technologists at Wellstar are respected clinical professionals and essential members of a collaborative care team* If you’re looking for a place where you’re supported and where your well‐being, career growth, and voice truly matter, you’ll find it here## ****Required Qualifications****### ***Education**** High School Diploma or equivalent* Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program### ***Experience**** Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology Required### ***Certifications**** ARRT‐R (Radiography)* ARRT‐CT – ARRT Computed Tomography* BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association## ****Core Responsibilities***** Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images* Work independently operating imaging or radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA)* Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms or equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptly* Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam* Explain procedures, prep, and post‐care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety* Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age‐appropriate care throughout the visit* Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable* Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated* Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or correct as needed and release patients appropriately* Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS (including transfers/retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed)* Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain and restock crash cart and life‐support equipment as required* Organize daily workflows to meet expected timeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow* Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and escalate issues to the supervisor**Join us and discover the support to do more meaningful work—and enjoy a more rewarding life.
