Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital in Brunswick, OH, is seeking a PRN CT Technologist to produce cross‑sectional images for diagnostic purposes. You will administer contrast, operate CT equipment, position patients, and ensure safety and comfort across all ages within a Magnet Hospital environment that supports professional nursing practice.

Minimum qualifications include ARRT registration, CT certification within one year of hire, BLS, and current state licensure.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and ARRT registered in good standing.
• CT certification (ARRT) within one year of hire and current state licensure.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes.
• Preferred: 1+ year experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.

Responsabilidades

• Provide CT imaging and patient care at defined levels for patients of all ages.
• Check patient preparation prior to CT study and review requisitions for accuracy.
• Position patients and ensure safety and comfort during procedures.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams.
• Prepare and administer contrast media within scope of practice and regulations.
• Maintain CT area and documentation, and manage PACS image transfer.
• Observe equipment for dysfunctions and report issues promptly.

As a CT Technologist, you will produce cross-section images of internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of various medical issues. Utilizing your advanced training and knowledge, you will accurately interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. This role is critical in the overall treatment of our patients, making you an invaluable asset to the Cleveland Clinic system.

A PRN (as needed) caregiver in this position works varying shifts. Will float to other locations, if needed.

• Provide computed tomography imaging and patient care services at defined levels for patients of all ages.
• Check and prepare patients prior to CT study.
• Acquire patients chart data/requisition and review both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems and contraindications to the study.
• Verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.
• Assure patient's safety and comfort during procedures.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepare and administer contrast media or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Perform VNA punctures as necessary.
• Maintain all aspects of the CT area, including the technical and clerical components, to ensure proper quality assurance results and any required documentation.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems to appropriate individuals.
• Maintain available equipment up-to-time at the highest level.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing
• Certification in Computed Tomography [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)] within one year of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Current state licensure required prior to employment.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $42.00

Maximum hourly: $42.00
