Job Description And Position Requirements

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Work Shift: Hours vary. Saturday rotation required.

Summary of the Job

Perform various CT exams in the Mobile CT unit as well as serve at all CT locations when needed. Manipulate computerized topographical radiological equipment, using knowledge of positioning patients and general anatomy and physiology as well as the ability for processing these images. Responsible for the tracking of each study and the PACS acquisition of the study performed. Properly use radiation protection devices, select technical factors necessary to produce optimum quality computerized radiographical images; process those images and perform a variety of other duties consistent with providing quality computerized topographical services.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a graduate of an accredited radiology technology program. Minimum of one year experience in a CT department with multi‑slice technology. A.R.R.T. registered in Radiology, state licensed in radiology by the LSRT, CPR certified. CT registered strongly preferred. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with patients of all types and ages. Must possess strong guest relations skills.

Physical Demands

Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.

• Constant (67%-100%) – lifting, hearing, seeing
• Frequently (34%-66%) – carrying, pushing/pulling, handling/feeling, talking
• Occasionally (1%-33%) – climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), balancing, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching
