Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a CT Technician to prepare and operate CT scanners, ensuring compliance with specific physician orders and protocols. This role involves maintaining patient care, verifying patient identification, and adjusting equipment settings for accurate imaging.

Under the general direction from the manager, the incumbent prepares, sets up and operates the CT scanners following specific physician orders and protocols. Produces detailed computer‑generated scans of the patient’s head/body for diagnostic and interventional information. Performs a variety of patient care tasks; assists patients on and off the scanner, verifies identification prior to scan, enters patient information into the system from requisitions and ensures files are archived onto local media and networked to RELAY/PACS and completed properly in RIS. Maintains facilities in proper order. Must keep abreast of all outpatient procedures/policies within the CT Dept. Engages in additional duties as assigned while maintaining flexibility and adaptability to departmental needs.
