Job summary

RAYUS Radiology in Minnesota is seeking a CT Technologist to join our team. You will operate CT, C-arm and X-ray modalities to provide diagnostic imaging with a patient-centered approach and adherence to safety standards.

This full-time role offers shifts 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm with weekend rotation, no on-call. DailyPay is available and training in CT is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients before exam and verify patient identity and procedure.
• Explain and prepare patients for scanning procedures and position patients appropriately.
• Perform routine and advanced CT imaging procedures with minimal supervision.
• Adjust scanning parameters and use dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
• Follow physicians' orders, maintain safety protocols, and document in the RIS.
• Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements and ensure a clean, safe work area.
• Assist with imaging department support tasks and training of new team members.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a CT Technologistto join our team. As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will beresponsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide CT services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.This is a fulltime position working Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm and 8:30am-5:00pm shifts; includes weekend rotation. This is a CT, C-arm, and Xray multimodality position. No call and willing to train in CT! This role is also available working a 0.8 or 0.9 status.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
• Explains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
• Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
• Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
• Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
• Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

(5%) CT/Imaging Department Support

• Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
• Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
• Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

• High School diploma, or equivalent
• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently
• Certification in imaging specialty
