Job Summary and Qualifications

We are currently reviewing applications for a Florida-licensed CT Technologist on a full-time basis to provide computerized assisted tomographic services to patients as ordered by physicians following established standards and practices under the direction of the radiologist. As a CT Technologist, you will be competent in procedures involving brain, spine, facial, sinus, orbits, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, sella, and biopsies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Select proper technical factors, perform, and complete diagnostic CT examinations accurately in a caring, compassionate, and respectful manner.
• Possess sound operational knowledge of the CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system.
• Assist in the administration of contrast media and related procedures.
• Prepare, transfer, and position patients ensuring modesty and safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment as needed.
• Document clinical information prior to exams, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and timely.
• Obtain high-quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation.
• Stay proficient with software protocols and keep up-to-date through in-service studies, courses, or seminars.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and colleagues, including radiologists.
• Check equipment operation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure room is stocked with linens and supplies.
• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an accredited, AMA-approved institution.
• ARRT (CT) certification preferred.
• Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Minimum 1-3 years recent experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting.
