Qualifications

Job Summary and Qualifications

Position: CT Technologist

Responsibilities: You will perform diagnostic CT scans including brain, spine, facial, sinus, orbits, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, sella, and biopsies. We prioritize patient care activities, and if you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career step.

As a CT Technologist, duties include but are not limited to:

• Selecting proper technical factors and performing accurate diagnostic CT exams with compassion and respect.
• Operating CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system proficiently.
• Assisting with contrast media administration and related procedures.
• Preparing, transferring, and positioning patients safely, ensuring modesty and comfort.
• Documenting clinical information, obtaining informed consent, and completing MEDITECH documentation accurately and timely.
• Acquiring high-quality CT images for interpretation.
• Staying current with software protocols and field updates through training and seminars.
• Communicating effectively with patients and team members, including radiologists.
• Checking equipment operation, maintaining cleanliness, and restocking supplies.
• Accepting on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, plus technical training.
• Valid ARRT (CT) certification.
• Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a CT Technologist, preferably in acute care.
