Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a per diem CT Scan Technologist to perform CT examinations, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety. The role requires working with Radiologists, preparing patients, and maintaining infection control standards. Travel to satellite locations is required as needed.

Requirements include ARRT registration (CT advanced), NJ state licensing, and BLS certification. Prior experience with RIS/PACS and power injectors is preferred.

Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care.Prioritizes and organizes work assignments and adjusts priorities based on changing situations.Prepares patient for procedures providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.Operates CT and medical imaging equipment properly and safely.Experience with Power injectors preferred.Demonstrates awareness of Radiation Safety procedures for self and others.Prepares and assists in the administration of contrast materials.General Job functions:Demonstrates knowledge and compliance of safety, OSHA, and HIPPA regulations.The ability to perform daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual Quality Control.The ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.Attend department meetings.Other job duties as required.Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements:1-3 years' experience required.Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic TechnologiesAdvanced registry in CT requiredGraduated from an accredited Radiology program.Licensed by NJ State DEP.Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic TechnologiesBLS certification is required.
