Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a CT Technologist to join our team in Florida. You will operate CT scanners to produce diagnostic images and support patient care with a patient-centered approach.

As a per diem role with flexible hours, you will assess patients, prepare them for scanning, position them correctly, and follow RIS documentation and safety standards while maintaining high service levels and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT registered technologist in good standing.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanner(s) to produce diagnostic images.
• Prepare and position patients, explain procedures and ensure comfort.
• Perform routine and advanced CT procedures with minimal supervision.
• Adjust scanning parameters and apply dose reduction techniques as needed.
• Follow physician orders, maintain RIS records, and comply with safety regulations.
• Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
• Keep work area clean and safe for patients and staff.
• Support imaging protocol updates, inventory management, and training of new staff.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a CT Technologistto join our team. As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will beresponsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide CT services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a per diem position with flexible working hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
• Explains and prepares patients for scanning imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
• Performs routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
• Adjusts scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
• Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
• Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

(5%) CT/Imaging Department Support

• Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
• Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
• Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

• High School diploma, or equivalent
• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently
• Certification in imaging specialty
