Job summary

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to coordinate and administer diagnostic and radiation therapy CT exams. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care within Louisiana's leading cancer care organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and technical quality, performing various radiologic procedures including CT scans and X-rays, as well as creating necessary immobilization devices. Experience in a similar role is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology.
• 2 Years Experience As Radiological Technologist. CT Experience Preferred.
• Registered by ARRT with current License by the state of Louisiana, CRP.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans for routine radiologic exams.
• Perform CT scans for radiation treatment planning purposes.
• Perform X-Ray scans for diagnostic use.
• Perform Panorex for dental clinic.
• Other duties as assigned.

Under general supervision, is responsible for the coordination and administration diagnostic and radiation therapy CT exams; ensures patient safety, technical quality and timely transfer of data; fabricates any necessary immobilization devices prior to scan as needed.
