This is a Travel position. You must live more than 30 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

Position Overview

Type of Position: Travel Description: CT Technologist - New York

Shift Details

• 4x10 shift structure Monday - Thursday
• Monday/Thursday: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM
• Tuesday/Wednesday: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Schedule includes two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts per week
• Holidays, on-call, and callback required per unit needs
• On-call requirement: 2-3 call shifts per month

Duties and Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan, strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test
• Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC, including identifying images and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility

Requirements

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• New York State licensure — must be obtained prior to starting the position
• HCPs currently registered in NYS will be required to have injection therapy certification stated on their license at time of submission
• Minimum two (2) years of experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• BLS certification — American Heart Association ONLY
• Telemetry

Preferred Qualifications

• Injection certification preferred — must be willing to complete during orientation process
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
