Job summary

Alerion Healthcare in Rochester, NY is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment on the night shift (3x12). The role requires NYS licensure, ARRT certification, BLS, and 2+ years CT experience, with trauma exposure. Schedule is Fri–Sun, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM EST, and includes on-call shifts.

Qualifications

  • Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT certification and NYS licensure required before start.
  • Two years CT technologist experience with level I trauma exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to scanning for safety.
  • Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
  • Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to reduce anxiety.
  • Insert IVs when necessary and ensure safe patient handling.
  • Position patients, document results in EPIC, and confirm PACS transfer.
  • Maintain a clean, safe scanning facility and keep accurate records.

Travel position. You must live more than 30 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

Description: CT Technologist - Night Shift (3x12) | New York

Shift Details Schedule

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts

Days: Friday - Sunday

Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM EST

Holidays per unit needs

On-call requirement: 2-3 call shifts per month On-call and callback obligations apply

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan, strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
  • Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
  • Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
  • Insert IVs when necessary for the test
  • Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling
  • Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC, including identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
  • Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
Required Qualifications
  • Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • NYS licensure (must be obtained prior to starting position)
  • HCPs currently registered in NYS will be required to have injection therapy certification stated on their license at time of submission
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience
  • Level 1 Trauma Center experience
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
