Details about the Position
- Perform routine and specialized CT procedures, integrating medical knowledge, technical skills, and patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.
- Conduct X‑ray and CT examinations.
- Determine the most appropriate examination based on patient history through consultation with interpreting or ordering physicians.
- Adapt exams to address patient care problems and make decisions to resolve issues appropriately.
- Operate the CT scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction, and documentation of images; perform quality‑control measures to ensure optimal image quality.
- Apply the ALARA principle to ensure appropriate radiation safety for self, patient, and visitor; evaluate patients for pregnancy prior to examination as indicated.
- Perform interventional procedures applying knowledge of equipment, supplies, and AORN standards.
- Perform additional patient‑care activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned, consistent with caregiver scope of practice, training, experience, and certification or registration.
What You Bring
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- Demonstrated venipuncture competency.
- PACS/RIS knowledge; EPIC RIS, FUJI, and IntelliSpace PACS experience preferred.
- ARRT – Radiography certification.
- Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.
