Job summary

PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center in Ketchikan, AK seeks a CT Technologist for a Full Time, 0.90 FTE, Day position. The salary ranges from $52.11 to $73.57 per hour, with hiring bonus and relocation assistance may be available.

The CT Technologist will perform routine and specialized CT procedures, work with X-ray and CT, and ensure diagnostic quality while applying ALARA principles. Collaboration with physicians and interventional support will be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology required.
• Demonstrated venipuncture competency required.
• PACS/RIS knowledge required; EPIC RIS, FUJI and IntelliSpace PACS experience preferred.
• ARRT - Radiography certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized CT procedures and X-ray and CT.
• Operate CT scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction and documentation of images.
• Apply ALARA principles to ensure radiation safety for patient and staff.
• Assess pregnancy status prior to exam and adapt exams as needed.
• Assist with interventional procedures and other caregiver duties as assigned.

The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is$52.11-$73.57. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

Details about the position

• As a CT Technologist, you'll be performing all routine and specialized CT procedures by integrating medical knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.
  


• This position will be performing both Xray and CT.


• Perform most appropriate examination based on patient information through consultation with interpreting physician and/or ordering physician as necessary.
  


• Demonstrates ability to adapt exam to address problems of patient care as they arise making decisions to appropriately resolve problems.
  


• Operates CT scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.


• Applies ALARA principle to ensure appropriate radiation safety for self, patient, and visitor. Evaluates patient for pregnancy prior to exam as indicated.


• Performs interventional procedures applying knowledge of equipment, supplies, and AORN standards.


• Performs other patient care activities, duties and responsibilities as assigned consistent with Caregivers’ scope of practice, training, experience and license/certification/registration.
