Job summary

St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas, part of CommonSpirit Health, is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT exams and provide compassionate patient care within the medical imaging department.

The ideal candidate has ARRT CT certification, state license for Kansas, BLS, and at least two years of related experience, with a strong commitment to radiation safety and ALARA, plus leadership and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures with emphasis on patient safety and ALARA.
• Maintains and operates CT equipment; notifies service when necessary.
• Produces quality images in a timely manner.
• Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure.
• Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and documents any unusual occurrences.
• Leads and supports other associate technologists in the unit.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Tech, you will perform high-quality CT images and exams, providing essential patient care within the medical imaging department while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs.

Every day you will follow standards of safe radiation practice, demonstrate leadership for other associate technologists, act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, and assure current standards of practice for the unit.

To be successful in this role, you will possess expert technical skills in CT imaging, a strong commitment to patient safety and radiation practice, excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team leadership, and the ability to serve as a valuable clinical resource.

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures, providing safety for self, patients and all other individuals.

• Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to "as low as reasonably achievable" (ALARA).

• Produces quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.

• Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.

• Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports/documents unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition.

• Maintains technical operation of equipment and notifies service when necessary.

We are offering a $7500 sign on bonus in addition to up to a $8000 relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• ARRT (CT), ARRT (T), ARRT (N) or CNMT registry or State CT registry ARRT R with CT training.
• BLS, American Heart Association
• State Radiology Tech license for those working at a Kansas site
• Two (2) years of related experience

Preferred

Pay Range

$31.68 - $47.13 /hour
