Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Colorado Springs seeks a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures with a strong focus on patient safety and quality image production. You will lead junior staff, act as a clinical resource, and uphold current practice standards within the imaging department.

Responsibilities include ensuring radiation safety per ALARA, communicating with patients and families, and maintaining equipment while delivering timely, accurate images for clinical care at Penrose - St.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• ARRT registry or CNMT, or state CT registry ARRT R with CT training.
• BLS from American Heart Association.
• State Radiology Tech license if working at a Kansas site.
• Two years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring safety for self, patients and others.
• Adheres to ALARA radiation safety principles to minimize exposure.
• Produces high-quality images accurately and timely.
• Provides patient/family guidance about procedures and addresses needs.
• Monitors patient and equipment, reports any unusual events and documents patient status.
• Maintains equipment operation and coordinates with service when needed.

As our CT Tech, you will perform high-quality CT images and exams, providing essential patient care within the medical imaging department while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs.

As our CT Tech, you will perform high-quality CT images and exams, providing essential patient care within the medical imaging department while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs.

Every day you will follow standards of safe radiation practice, demonstrate leadership for other associate technologists, act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, and assure current standards of practice for the unit.

To be successful in this role, you will possess expert technical skills in CT imaging, a strong commitment to patient safety and radiation practice, excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team leadership, and the ability to serve as a valuable clinical resource.

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures, providing safety for self, patients and all other individuals.
• Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to "as low as reasonably achievable" (ALARA).
• Produces quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
• Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports/documents unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition.
• Maintains technical operation of equipment and notifies service when necessary.

Job Requirements
