Job summary

Commonspirit-Health is seeking a CT Tech to perform high-quality CT imaging and exams while delivering compassionate patient care in the imaging department. You will follow ALARA principles, lead other technologists, and serve as a clinical resource to staff and unit personnel.

The role requires expert CT imaging skills, a strong safety focus, and clear communication to support patients and colleagues in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• ARRT registry (CT, T, N) or CNMT or State CT registry ARRT R with CT training.
• BLS, American Heart Association.
• State Radiology Tech license for Kansas site.
• Two (2) years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures with emphasis on radiation safety.
• Maintains ALARA and safety standards for patients and staff.
• Produces quality CT images in a timely, accurate manner.
• Explains procedures and addresses patient needs and concerns.
• Monitors patient and equipment, documents any unusual events.
• Keeps equipment functioning and coordinates with service when needed.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Tech, you will perform high-quality CT images and exams, providing essential patient care within the medical imaging department while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs.
Every day you will follow standards of safe radiation practice, demonstrate leadership for other associate technologists, act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, and assure current standards of practice for the unit.
To be successful in this role, you will possess expert technical skills in CT imaging, a strong commitment to patient safety and radiation practice, excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team leadership, and the ability to serve as a valuable clinical resource.

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures, providing safety for self, patients and all other individuals.
• Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to 'as low as reasonably achievable' (ALARA).
• Produces quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
• Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports/documents unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition.
• Maintains technical operation of equipment and notifies service when necessary.
