Job description
Responsibilities
Assists with preparing patients for CT exams and explains procedures in a courteous and professional manner.
Learns proper positioning techniques, immobilization methods, and safety procedures for CT imaging under supervision.
Observes and assists with administering contrast media (only after obtaining venipuncture certification and under direct supervision, if applicable).
Supports technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and quality assurance checks.
Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
Participates in educational activities, in-service training, and on-the-job instruction to gain competency in CT imaging.
Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient procedures.
Provides professional and compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.
Completes administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry as assigned.
Performs other related duties as assigned while learning the full scope of the CT Technologist role.

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have
Must have current ARRT(R) and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (CRT).
Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification and/or applicable State CT license within the timeframe required by RadNet policy or state regulations. Continued employment in the trainee role is contingent upon meeting this requirement.
Completion of an accredited Radiology program required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, must obtain within required timeframe.
Ability to learn and apply specialized CT equipment operation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to relate to patients, physicians, and team members.
Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to professional development.
