Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking a CT technologist to perform CT imaging, assist radiologists, and manage patient flow on the Smith Northview Campus. The role requires ARRT Radiography certification and is preferred with CT certification, with a schedule of 7 on/7 off, including weekdays and weekends.

You will operate CT equipment, prepare rooms, and ensure patient comfort throughout imaging procedures. Responsibilities include assisting in CT-guided biopsies, developing films, and coordinating room

JOB LOCATION : Smith Northview Campus

DEPARTMENT: SNH - XRAY

SCHEDULE: Full Time, 7on/7off, M-F 1030-2030, Sat/Sun 0900-2100

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs a variety of duties in administering roentgen rays to patients for CT exams. Assists the radiologist in CT guided biopsy procedures. Operates CT equipment, develops film, prepares room, equipment, supplies and medications. Provides patient services using imaging modalities. Performs CT scan examinations on patients and helps coordinate patient flow and the activities of the CT scanner.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Certified by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography.
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of personnel at all levels within and external to organization.
• Ability to communicate clearly with, and care for, a diverse population of patients/family units of all ages, variety of cultures, etc.
• Flexible in work schedule, assignments and work load.
• Ability to document clinical information, etc.
• Ability to interpret the policies and procedures of SGMC Health, regulatory agencies’ standards and rules, reimbursement rules, etc.
• Possesses strong clinical skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION

Duties require considerable sitting, standing, stooping bending, lifting (in excess of 50 pounds), pushing objects (wheelchairs, stretchers). Comfortable conditions, subject to irregular schedules, including weekends, exposed to high levels of stress. Work may require exposure to communicable diseases.
