Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be ARRT CT-certified and hold a Florida General Radiographer license with current BLS/CPR.
• Graduate of an AMA Accredited Radiologic Technology Program or equivalent.
• Experience preferred but not required; one year of clinical experience at staff technologist level.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination and assists radiologist during procedures.
• Reviews patient records to verify physician orders prior to imaging.
• Cross trains in other specialties to adapt to workload demands.
• Inspects films for quality and accurate patient data before interpretation.
• Assists with training of new technologists and technicians.
• Operates specialized radiology equipment following safety guidelines.
• Follows department policies and standard precautions; reports equipment malfunctions.
• Maintains supply stock and orderly room setup for examinations.
• Uses EPIC and SYNAPSE data entry and documentation for each case.
• Attends monthly department staff meetings as scheduled.
