Texas Health Resources in Willow Park, TX is seeking a PRN CT Technologist to join Radiology CT Scan Services. You will explain procedures to patients, image the correct anatomy, and perform advanced CT work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Requirements include graduating from an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT certifications for R and CT, CMRT, BCLS, and at least 1 year radiologic technologist experience; ARRT-CT experience is noted within 12 months if applicable.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • Associate Degree preferred.
  • 1 year radiologic technologist experience without ARRT-CT is required.
  • No experience with ARRT-CT is required.
  • ARRT—American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) required.
  • ARRT—American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) required.
  • ARRT‑CT within 12 months if 1 year radiology tech exp is required.
  • CMRT — Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist by TDH or TMB required.
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Explain procedures to patient or guardian prior to and during exam.
  • Imaging the correct anatomical area according to protocols.
  • Perform complex procedures including age-related criteria and development considerations.
  • Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot and adjust technique.
  • Send and transfer images to PACS.
  • Assess the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.
  • Operate, care for and maintain equipment; prepare room for examination.
  • Administer contrast media as guidelines specify; maintain sanitary standards between patients.

What You Will Do

A Texas Health CT Technologist is responsible for explaining procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to and during exam, imaging correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols, and performing complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations. In addition to the required qualifications, a successful CT Technologist will

  • process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed.
  • correctly send and transfer images to PACS.
  • assess and recognize the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.
  • operate, care for and maintain equipment.
  • prepare room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies).
  • administer contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
  • maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients (injectors, table tops, floors).
