Overview
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT examinations in accordance with prescribed standards under the supervision of a Radiologist.
- Use ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Provide patient care to all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
Qualifications
- MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
- Minimum Experience Required: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R).
- Additional Qualifications: BLS certified.
- PREFERRED: 6 months experience as a Radiological Technologist.
