Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a CT Technologist to join our imaging team in Cleveland. You will operate advanced CT equipment to generate cross-sectional images, supporting accurate diagnoses and patient care.

You will collaborate with radiologists and clinicians, adhere to ALARA and safety standards, and contribute to a positive patient experience while maintaining licensure requirements and pursuing ongoing education.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competency in CT imaging by performing scans per established protocols and safety standards.
  • Collaborates with radiologists, physicians, and staff to ensure accurate patient studies.
  • Maintains licensure and continuing education requirements for radiologic technologists.
  • Adheres to ALARA, Image Gently, and Image Wisely standards and hospital CT safety guidelines.
  • Ensures patient identification, safety procedures, and documentation are completed correctly.
  • Operates and troubleshoots CT equipment and initiates service repair when needed.
  • Communicates effectively with ordering providers and radiologists to ensure proper protocol for studies.
  • Maintains patient comfort and safety throughout imaging procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and supports department operations.
  • Complies with all policies and PHI protection requirements during patient interactions.

CT Tech

Join our computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures team and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will operate advanced X-ray and computer equipment to produce highly detailed cross-sectional and 3D images. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to assist in diagnosing and treating medical conditions while providing compassionate care and maintaining a positive patient experience.

  • Demonstrates successful technical/patient skills by efficiently implementing CT scanning protocols and procedures in Diagnostic CT according to expected service excellence standards.

  • Collaborates effectively and in a timely manner with coworkers, staff and patients while displaying a positive attitude.

  • Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.

  • Adheres to ALARA, Image Gently, Image Wisely standards and hospital CT safety standards.

  • Consistently follow hospital and department guidelines for patient identification and safety.

  • Demonstrates competency in patient and technical imaging skills by producing a variety of radiological procedures while maintaining the highest standard of care independently and collaboratively.

  • Displays a commitment to hospital mission and values.

  • Maintains licensure and continuing education requirements.

  • Uses administrative skills to contribute to the successful operation of the department.

  • Effectively communicates with ordering providers and/or radiologists to properly protocol patient studies.

  • Ensures all equipment is functioning and demonstrates ability to initiate service repair process.

  • Refer to competency for all essential duties.
