Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a CT Tech for four 3-hour shifts per week (3pm–7pm) to support our diagnostic imaging team. The role focuses on operating CT equipment, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality cross-sectional imaging with compassionate care.

You will follow ALARA standards, coordinate with radiologists, and maintain documentation while advancing your skills. Tuition reimbursement, parking, and a supportive work environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Registration as Radiologic Technologist (ARRT-R) required upon hire.
• Ohio Department of Health license required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) required upon hire.

CT Tech

Four 3 hours shifts per week (3pm - 7pm)

Join our computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures team and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will operate advanced X-ray and computer equipment to produce highly detailed cross-sectional and 3D images. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to assist in diagnosing and treating medical conditions while providing compassionate care and maintaining a positive patient experience.

• Demonstrates successful technical/patient skills by efficiently implementing CT scanning protocols and procedures in Diagnostic CT according to expected service excellence standards.
• Collaborates effectively and in a timely manner with coworkers, staff and patients while displaying a positive attitude.

• Adheres to ALARA, Image Gently, Image Wisely standards and hospital CT safety standards.
• Consistently follow hospital and department guidelines for patient identification and safety.

Education

• Associate's Degree Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology program (Required) or
• Other Accredited Program: Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology program (Required)

Work Experience

• 1+ years as CT technologist (Preferred) or
• 1+ years as a registered technologist (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Uses a variety of equipment specific to the area, including CT scanners, power injectors, and various computers. (Required proficiency)
• Use EMR and Radiology RIS systems to send and obtain patient information for care. (Required proficiency)
• Ability to perform procedures specific to area. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) (Required Upon Hire) and
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT-R) and current Ohio Department of Health license. (Required Upon Hire)
• within one year of eligibility to sit for exam (Required within 1 Year)
• current Ohio Department of Health license. (Required Upon Hire)
