Job summary

Glenwood Regional Medical Center is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT scanners, position patients, and acquire diagnostic images per physician orders.

The role requires ARRT and a Louisiana license, AMA-approved radiologic training, and BLS certification. CT experience is preferred and advanced CT certification is encouraged or required within 18 months of hire. You will work under safety standards and collaborate with the health care team.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience as a radiology technologist; CT experience preferred.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
• ARRT certification and Louisiana license required.
• Advanced CT certification preferred; if not, required within 18 months of hire.
• BLS Healthcare Provider status within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT imaging including biopsy and localization procedures.
• Conduct daily startup and calibration of CT units with radiation safety practices.
• Label images correctly, document in RIS, and submit to PACS for dictation.
• Prepare patients with education, history, and informed consent when indicated.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and other imaging duties as assigned.
