Job summary

Advocate Health’s radiology department in Trion is seeking a CT/radiology technologist to verify orders, prepare patients, and perform CT scans with emphasis on safety and accuracy. The role requires ARRT or NMTCB certification with ARRT CT registry within one year and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT in Radiology or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient orders and identify patients using two identifiers; explain procedures to patients.
• Prepare patients and document procedures; obtain medical history as needed.
• Perform CT scanning; consult radiologist as required; ensure safety and sterility.
• Maintain radiation safety and proper technique; report equipment issues.
• Assist in emergencies and life support as needed; rotate shifts per unit policy.
