Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks a Radiologic Technologist (CT) to perform high-quality CT examinations and manage IV contrast with strict safety protocols. You will review patient history, position patients, and monitor for adverse reactions while documenting in EMR/PACS.

Collaborate with radiologists, maintain ALARA standards, and educate patients. Requires ARR T-CT and BLS with Florida RT licensure, at least 1 year of experience, and a strong patient-focus.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality CT examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
• Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications; prepares and administers IV contrast material and monitors patients.
• Positions patients accurately with immobilization devices when needed, while maintaining radiation safety and ALARA principles.
• Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care.
• Maintains accurate documentation within EMR and PACS and educates patients about the exam.
• Operates imaging equipment safely, adapting protocols for patients of all ages and following infection control standards.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Positions patients accurately and comfortably, using immobilization devices when necessary, while ensuring radiation safety and ALARA principles are maintained.
• Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time.
• Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.
• Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

Work Experience:

• 1+ year of related work experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Computed Tomography RT(CT)(ARRT) [Required]

• Registered Technologist - Radiography (R.T.(R)(ARRT)) [Required]
• Florida Certified Radiologic Tech (R.T. -CERT) [Required]
