Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a qualified Radiologic Technologist with CT certification to support our radiology team in Miami. You will prepare patients, verify orders, and assist radiologists during complex exams across Siemens and GE CT systems.

The role requires ARRT-CT registration and a Florida radiographer license, with BLS/CPR. Two years of CT experience and familiarity with EPIC/SYNAPSE are preferred, along with strong patient care and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA Accredited Educational Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Must be ARRT-CT registered and hold a Florida General Radiographer license; BLS/CPRCertification required.
  • Two years of clinical experience and/or ability to perform CT Angio, Cystograms, Virtual Colonography, TAVR, Enterography & Rectal Contrast exams.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for examination and assists radiologist/physician during procedures.
  • Reviews patient medical records to verify physician's orders prior to examination.
  • Operates Siemens and GE CT units; performs 3D post-processing and phantom quality control as required.
  • Implements Standard Precautions and adheres to safety guidelines.
  • Maintains and stocks radiology supplies; participates in training of new technologists.

In addition, assists radiologist/physician in patient care during procedure.Reviews patient medical record(s) to verify physician's order prior to examination.Cross trains in other specialty areas/departments/facilities when work load demands to enhance skills outside assigned specialty clinical area.Inspects films for quality, and monitors all films with respect to proper patient name, date and medical record number prior to interpretation by Radiologist.Assists with training of new technologists and technical assistants in all phases of assigned procedures, as requested by supervisor/manager/director.Demonstrates competency and observes safety guidelines when operating all specialized equipment in assigned clinical area.Implements Standard Precautions on all patients, as directed by hospital policy.Adjusts to variable schedules and/or procedure techniques that may be required at times.Adheres to MSMC established Personnel Radiation dosimeter Policy as observed by supervisor and as documented in department protocol.Reports all equipment malfunctions to lead tech/supervisor and clinical engineering immediately.Maintains and stocks room with proper supplies necessary to complete radiologic examinations.Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of computer programs, particularly the EPIC and SYNAPSE systems.Completes exam data entry on all studies performed on a daily basis, as well as any other necessary paperwork associated with each case.Attends monthly department staff meetings as scheduled.Proficient in 3D post-processing (Circle Of Willis, Aorta, Boney Extremities, Carotids).Proficient in Peripheral IV Catheter placement.Proficient in Performing & Documenting Phantom Quality Control on Siemens & GE Scanners.Proficient in operating Siemens & GE CT units.QualificationsLicense/Registration/CertificationMust be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (CT) and hold a current Florida General Radiographer license from the Department of HRS, Radiation Control.
